Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-08-19
These Terms govern your use of Going Once, a commercial service provided by TeamBlackBox Private Limited. By visiting the website, creating an account, joining an organization, submitting documents, listing lots, bidding, operating an auction, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Accounts & organizations
Going Once is used by organizations to run auctions for their own members. When you join an organization, you accept that the organization’s administrators control your membership, role, eligibility, KYC requirements, profile review, catalogue access, bidding permissions, and settlement workflows.
You are responsible for keeping your account and devices secure. You must not share credentials, impersonate another person, or use another member’s account without the organization’s written consent.
2. Auction results are binding
Hammer prices, timed-auction closes, passed lots, re-offers, and sale outcomes recorded in Going Once are binding on the relevant buyer, seller, auctioneer, and organization according to the organization’s auction rules. Disputes must be raised with the organization administrator within the applicable prompt or dispute window.
The platform keeps auction records and audit trails so the organization can review bidding, catalogue, stage, and settlement activity. Going Once provides the software; the organization remains responsible for its auction rules, member eligibility decisions, lot descriptions, quality representations, and dispute handling.
3. Payment & delivery
Going Once does not currently process payments, hold escrow, or move funds. Buyers must settle amounts using the organization’s stated payment process. Organizations, buyers, sellers, and auctioneers are responsible for payment follow-up, deductions, seller payout, delivery readiness, delivery notes, pickup, handover, and any offline logistics.
4. Acceptable use
The Acceptable Use Policy, including its prohibited-items and auction-integrity rules, forms part of these Terms.
- Attempting to manipulate bids, including collusion or shilling.
- Sharing account credentials or bidding on behalf of another party without the organization’s written consent.
- Uploading false, misleading, infringing, unlawful, or malicious content, documents, lot media, or catalogue information.
- Reverse-engineering, scraping, probing, interfering with, or overloading the service beyond its normal auction workflows.
- Using Going Once in a way that violates applicable law, the organization’s auction rules, or another person’s rights.
5. Organization auction rules and content
Each organization must publish and administer the rules that govern its members, lots, eligibility, taxes, payment, delivery, cancellations, and disputes. Creating or joining an organization records your acceptance of the current platform policies and the organization’s responsibility for those auction rules. TeamBlackBox does not approve lot claims or become a party to a buyer-seller transaction.
6. Intellectual property
Going Once, including the software, design, trademarks, database rights, copyrights, and other intellectual property related to it, belongs to TeamBlackBox Private Limited or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, translate, extract source code from, or create derivative versions of the service except as permitted by law or by written agreement.
7. Availability and third-party services
Going Once requires an active internet connection and may rely on third-party services to provide authentication, hosting, storage, analytics, communications, payments-related records, support, or diagnostics. We work to keep the service useful and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every device or browser, or error-free operation.
You are responsible for any network, data, roaming, device, or third party charges incurred while using the service.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TeamBlackBox Private Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or business-interruption losses arising from use of the service, reliance on auction data, member conduct, lot quality, payment or delivery disputes, or organization decisions.
9. Changes, suspension, and termination
We may update Going Once, change features, charge for services, suspend access, or stop providing the service. We will make paid-service terms clear before charging you. Organizations may also suspend or remove member access according to their own governance and auction rules.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date, and material changes may also be notified through the service or to organization administrators.
10. Contact
Questions or suggestions about these Terms can be raised through your organization administrator, or by contacting Team Black Box.
